KTMA: Growing Pains

It all began on Turkey Day, November 24th 1988. And with each episode, fans watched as the show evolved. Steering towards the stuff of legend it would one day become. Of the main characters, Servo took on the most changes, starting life as Beeper and going through 4 voices (beeps to beatnik drawl to froggy voice to the baritone that would stick throughout). By the time the season closed on May 28th 1989 we were hearing tighter delivery and a few of those famous pop culture references and callback riffs. While nothing here made my top 50, and the season is pretty rough, there are enjoyable moments.

MST in 1988 - Early 1989
In February of 1989 the MST3K fan club is formed and with it the first issue of the Satellite News.

MST Live! June 5th and 6th 1989 at the Comedy Gallery, the pilot was shown and there was stand-up and a Q&A session.

July 1989 Best Brains Inc is formed
